ELECTRICAL MACHINE MECHANIC - $17HR DOE
1st, 2nd and 3rd shift avil.
JOB SUMMARY
The Mechanic A position was created to handle complex mechanical or electrical maintenance issues with the manufacturing machines. This position should have more mechanical skill than electrical skill.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Regular attendance at OSHA training seminars
- Perform a variety of duties involving the maintenance and repair of production equipment
- Interpret blueprints
- Replace, repair, or re-fit parts as required
- Test and make final adjustments
- Work with pumps, applications, design and repair/rebuild
- Welding with gas, brazing, soldering, electric welding, including MIG and TIG
- Work with hydraulics, applications, design and repair/rebuild
- Work with conveyors and automated mechanical systems and equipment
- Continuous work with close tolerances equipment including, but not limited to:
- measuring devices; scales; micrometers; veneers; dial indicators; etc. and working within close tolerance of ;002 to .005
- -Might work with steel fabrication and duct work
- Work with Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC’s)
- Work with cold formers, grinders, stamps, heat treat equipment, vibe, plating equipment, electronic/mechanical automation, and pack automation equipment
- Work with shop equipment including, but not limited to: Lathe; drill press; milling machine; steel fabrication equipment; and mechanical power hand tools
- Work with electrical systems and test equipment including, but not limited to: low voltage wiring; wiring schematics; electrical control cabinets
QUALIFICATIONS
- High school diploma or GED required
- Associates or technical degree preferred
- Good math skills
- Ability to read blueprints
- Experience in industrial mechanical maintenance
- Ability to work with limited supervision
- Some knowledge of OSHA regulations
- Some previous experience working with pumps, applications, design and repair/rebuild a plus
- Some previous experience welding with gas, brazing, soldering, electric welding, including MIG and TIG a plus
- Some previous experience working with hydraulics, applications, design and repair/rebuild
- Some previous experience working with building materials including, but not limited to: structural; concrete; and masonry a plus
- Some previous experience repairing and rebuilding air compressors a plus
- Knowledge of pneumatics & use of air as a power supply
- Some previous experience working with oils, lubricants and coolants
- Some previous experience working with conveyors and automated mechanical systems and equipment a plus
- Some previous experience working with millwright and rigging applications a plus
- Thorough experience working with close tolerances equipment including, but not limited to: measuring devices; scales; micrometers; veneers; dial indicators; etc.
- Some previous experience working with steel fabrication and duct work a plus
- Previous experience working with shop equipment including, but not limited to:
- lathe; drill press; milling machine; steel fabrication equipment; and mechanical power hand tools a plus
- Some previous experience working with cold formers, grinders, stamps, heat treat equipment, vibe, plating equipment, electronic/mechanical automation, and pack automation equipment a plus
- Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) experience a plus
- Experience working with voltage wiring
- Experience working with wiring schematics
- Experience working with electrical systems and test equipment
- Experience working with the components in an electrical control cabinet and a good understanding of their various functions a plus
